Welcome to the Oban Associated Presbyterian Church website.
Oban is a coastal town in the West Highlands of Scotland. Our church is rooted in generations of Christians who grew up in the Highland Reformed tradition. Today it includes people of other traditions who value Biblical and Christ-focused life and ministry. We reach out to our community in evangelism, and work with others to help the homeless and the young.
We gather together for worship on Sunday at 6:30pm in the Congregational Church on Tweeddale Street (Click on church image for directions). Currently we are the only congregation in Oban meeting in person on Sunday evenings and you are welcome to join us. Although we have had a presence in Oban for many years we currently do not have our own building so we are pleased to be able to meet in the Congregational Church. We have other activities as intimated. You can keep track with what's on via Facebook.
We are delighted to have use of Oban Congregational Church building for worship (pictured below). Why not come and join us?
Our worship reflects our heritage and the belief that the Bible is the Word of God so we give a high place to scripture in worship. As was common place in Scottish Presbyterianism in times past, our service is characterised by simplicity and the unaccompanied singing of Psalms. We believe that our service of worship is something special and we hope that you will enjoy it too.
'The Door' is the magazine of the Associated Presbyterian Churches. You can get the online version by clicking the image above.
We are not recording our local services at present but you can listen to sermons from some of our other preachers by clicking the image above.
We believe in bringing our concerns to the Lord our God because he cares for us. If you have troubles and would like us to pray for you then get in touch via the contact form.
